happy mothers day, Indonesia

To all my Indonesian fellow, did we all know that this day December 22, we Indonesian celebrating our National Mother’s day. Every single person has their own stories about their mother. And I assumed that there is no need for me to reminds us all how much mother means a lot to all of us. And if I still do, here is something that might do the job.

This story began with some kid that gives his mother a piece of paper during her dishes. Aware that her son gives her something, she clean her hands and sees what it is. Apparently her son just gives her a short letter, without any hesitation she read the letter.

dear mom, here is the list  for helping you
do the groceries ……………………….Rp 20.000
taking care of my little sis………….Rp 20.000
get rid of garbage……………………..Rp 5.000
clean my room………………………….Rp 10.000
gardening…………………………………Rp 15.000
clean the court yard………………….Rp 20.000
so it will cost you about Rp.90.000

the story does not ends yet. After reading her son letter, she smiles to her son and grab a pen, than she wrote something on the same piece of the paper.

my dear son,
carrying you for 9 month……………free of charge
sleepless nights for you…………….free of charge
tears for you………………………………free of charge
worried for you…………………………..free of charge
feed & gives all you need………….free of charge
for all the love that I can give you it cost you free of charge

Her son, fill with tears reads the letter then he wrote "Have been paid" on his own list, before he gives his mom a big hug and tell her " love you mom ".

A father may turn his back on his child, brothers and sisters may become inveterate enemies, husbands may desert their wives and so wives to their husbands. But a mother’s love endures through all, in good repute, in bad repute, in the face of the world’s condemnation, a mother still loves on, and still hopes that her child may turn from his evil ways, and repent, still she remembers the infant smiles that once filled her bosom with rapture, the merry laugh, the joyful shout of his childhood, the opening promise of his youth,  and she can never be brought to think him all unworthy.
